DIFOT – sometimes referred to as OTIF (On-Time, In-Full) – is a logistics metric used to measure whether deliveries are completed within the agreed timeframe. The “in-full” indicates all items are included upon delivery.
DIFOT (Delivered In Full, On Time) calculation combines two critical delivery metrics:
- “Delivered In Full” – Was the complete order delivered with all requested items?
- “On Time” – Was the delivery completed within the promised timeframe?
Your DIFOT percentage represents successful deliveries meeting both criteria divided by total deliveries. For instance, if 92 out of 100 deliveries were both complete and on time, your DIFOT rate would be 92%.
Transvirtual’s system automatically monitors DIFOT (Delivered In Full, On Time) performance through real-time delivery data analysis. The platform continuously compares actual delivery timestamps against the promised transit times associated with each consignment.
When a driver completes a delivery, the system instantly evaluates DIFOT performance. For instance, if a consignment has a delivery commitment of January 10th, successful delivery on or before this date registers as DIFOT-compliant. Any deliveries that miss their promised timeframes are immediately flagged in the system as non-DIFOT.
